TJ Meeker Burnt Wood Brutalist Wall Art Bird of Peace

One-of-a-Kind 70’s Mid-Century Bird of Peace Hand Carved Wood on Board with Orange Burlap Backing by PNW Artist TJ Meeker This is truly a one-of-a-kind authentic Copyright 1973 mid-century retro bird of peace wall hanging. This bird of peace has been hand cut into 7 modular pieces, artistically fit together to form the bird of peace. Each piece has been stained and slightly burnt to bring out texture and the wood rings. The wings have variations in depth to show the effect of feathers. All pieces have been precisely secured onto a wood board that was wrapped with a rough orange burlap fabric. The burlap has been secured by nails on the sides to add a rustic effect similar to brass studs. The tail has a slight blemish which shows the lighter wood under the stain. That could be easily fixed with a matching stain. The lower right hand side of the orange burlap has a light stain. Both these items give it that "wabi-sabi" look of time, imperfection... yet perfection. On the back of the artwork is TJ Meeker's signature with copyright 1973. No one else would have this one-of-a-kind artwork. Measures - 24" W x 21" H x 1.5" D
