20 Gallon Red Wing Pottery Crock from Minnesota
$425.00
Beautiful and heavy duty 20 gallon Red Wing stoneware crock.
Made out of Minnesota. Red Wing Pottery was founded by German immigrant John Paul. John changed its names several times until finally settling on Red Wing Potteries, Inc. in 1936. The pottery factory that started in 1861 continues to the present day under the names of Red Wing Pottery and Red Wing Stoneware
Has one surface crack around the rim that is held tightly together with the original metal wiring at the top. Has some glaze wear around the rim and base. Has a lot of character with the original wire and features the old Red Wing stamp on the side.
It would be perfect for a crock collectors collection or partnered with other fun pots out in the garden or patio space. We envision a French or Cape Cod flare with this piece and it will add an authentic touch to any home decor.
Crocks of this era were often salt-glazed which gives them their glassy shine with the textured surface.
Measures - 17.75" D x 21.25" H
