C. Miller Midcentury Ceramics was a studio pottery founded by Cliff Miller in the mid-20th century. Miller was a California-based ceramic artist who became known for his distinctive style that blended the clean lines of mid-century modern design with the organic shapes and textures of traditional pottery.

Miller started his career in the 1950s, working as a ceramic engineer for various companies before branching out on his own. He opened his first studio in the early 1960s and quickly gained a following for his innovative designs and high-quality craftsmanship.

One of the hallmarks of C. Miller ceramics was Miller's use of glazes that emphasized the natural beauty of the clay. He often employed earthy colors like brown, beige, and green, and incorporated textural elements like crackle glazes and rough textures.

Miller's designs were also notable for their functional, yet artistic approach. He created a range of pieces, including bowls, vases, plates, and pitchers, that were designed to be used and enjoyed in everyday life. However, each piece was also a work of art, with its own unique character and style.

In the decades that followed, C. Miller ceramics became a popular choice among collectors and design enthusiasts. Miller's innovative designs and dedication to craftsmanship have helped to establish his legacy as one of the most important figures in mid-century American ceramics.

Today, vintage C. Miller pieces remain highly sought after by collectors, and the company's aesthetic continues to influence contemporary ceramic artists and designers.
