We love the starburst effect of this piece! It's so visually striking. It has this electric movement to it. The birds in flight create a harmonious balance. Would be a fantastic piece to add to any space! It is the style of the original Curtis Jere. The brass is in good vintage condition! Some wear is to be expected with older metal. Can definitely be shined up! It features mounting hardware on the back.

Measures - 10.25" D X 3.5" W

Curtis Jere was the collective name of two American artists, Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels, who created metal wall sculptures and other decorative objects from the 1960s through the 1980s.

Curtis Jere's pieces were typically made of brass, bronze, and other metals and featured abstract, geometric, and organic designs. Their wall sculptures were particularly popular, and many were large and dramatic in size and scale.

The partnership between Freiler and Fels began in 1963 when they founded Artisan House, a company that produced metal wall art and sculptures. They adopted the name Curtis Jere as a combination of their first names, and the brand became known for its high-quality craftsmanship and unique designs.

Curtis Jere's pieces were sold through high-end retailers such as Neiman Marcus and Gump's, as well as through galleries and auctions. They were also popular in the hospitality industry, adorning the walls of hotels, restaurants, and other public spaces.
