Ethiopian Mesob Basket Table with Lid

Beautiful hand crafted African / Ethiopian woven basket with a giant lid. Features beautiful woven tribal detailing in an eye dazzling diamond woven pattern. Features reddish pinks, orange, purple, green and white. The lid is also a rattle. This basket is simply one of a kind! It is one of the largest we've seen and can be used as an end table, storage basket etc. It could be turned upside down to become a hamper with a canvas bag insert. Could be used on a cover patio to cover your food from bugs etc. This basket looks fantastic when complimented with round solid brass trays that provide a solid surface to set drinks etc. (see additional listings on our Etsy site.) It is in fantastic vintage condition with slight wear as seen on the bottom.
